Step 1: Attend a Guest Workout
Just drop-in to any workout on the schedule (except the 0700) and the coach will have you sign a waiver and participate with our Team. Don't worry - we will scale anything we need to in order to make your experience intense and safe.
Your first 3 guest workouts are free. Each workout after that, if you choose to remain a guest, is the standard $20 drop-in fee/workout.
Step 2 - Member Probationary Period
New members begin their HEL training with a 3 month probationary period. This three month probation is designed to give the new Teammate a gradual exposure to CFHEL training. Since we are a strength/power bias training facility, it is important that each new Teammember develops the foundational mechanics for barbell training.
The CrossFit portion of the WOD will remain the same for the probationary member as it is for the full member. The difference in training during probation is:
1. You may only train 3 times a week, maximum
2. The strength portion of the WOD will be programmed at a less technical pace (following Starting Strength 5x5 programming)
Membership probation is $120/month, with an extra $20 for the first month to pay for the HEL Training Journal.
Step 3: Choose a Contract/Train with the Team
At the end of the probationary period, you will choose a contract and join the Team as a Recruit (Recruit Skill Level). From here, the training really begins. Options 1 & 2 are unlimited monthly training. Option 3 is a block of 10 sessions and limited to 10 individuals at a time.
