CrossFit Kids

CrossFit Kids is the principal strength and conditioning program for many young athletes and the primary P.E. program for many home schools and charter schools.  It is used by athletic teams, martial arts schools, and many parents who wants their kids to grow up healthy, strong, and have a life long love of working out thus avoiding the common problems associated with childhood inactivity and obesity.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive.  Our specialty is in not specializing.  Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump effectively and safely regardless of whether or not they play organized sports.  Athletics is a specialized pursuit.  Our goal is to support the specialist, but reward the generalist.

The CrossFit Kids program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.  We have used the same workouts for 4-year-olds and elite high school athletes.  We scale load and intensity; we do not change programs.  The need of our second graders and our high school wrestler differ by degree not kind.

The CrossFit Kids Team meets on Wednesday and Friday from 5:15PM - 5:45PM.  We scale the kids into three groups: Big Dogs (ages 10-12), The Pack (ages 7-9), and The Puppies (ages 5-6).  This is done for the social aspect as well as the fitness - our desire is to build a strong community.  Within the 30 minute training block, the kids will perform a warm-up (5 minutes), skill work - learn new movements to be used during the workout (5-10 minutes), The Workout Of the Day - WOD (5-8 minutes), and a game at the end - CrossFit freeze tag, CrossFit bowling, CrossFit playing cards, etc.

    Costs:
       First child = $50/month
       Each additional child = $25/month
