Fully open schedule this week - the Lab has no events and no closures. All WOD are operating as scheduled.
The Wendler Training Program will begin in two weeks - Monday, January 31st. Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting a series of informational write-ups about the Wendler Program on this blog. Some of you may remember how that program works and it will be easy to fall back into it. For those of you that don't, read the blog daily for more information.
Note two things this week.
First, the order of the exercises is what you will see as a routine when we start the Wendler Program. Monday will be Back Squats, Tuesday will be Bench Press, etc. This week is a sample week of those exercises and the order we execute them in.
Second, RECORD YOUR LOADS THIS WEEK. We are doing BOTH 5RM and 3RM. Either number we can use to calculate a 1RM for you when we start the training on the 31st. But you have to have either a 3RM or 5RM (both preferably) in each of the four exercises to start the Wendler program effectively.
There is only one benchmark this week (Angie) on Saturday. This week is more of a trial week to get a feel for the order of the training exercises and record some base loads. Angie is all bodyweight movements and on the weekend. If you are going to complete even one cycle (4 weeks) of the Wendler program, I recommend a M/Tu/Th/F training schedule this week, minimum.
Train for chaos - see you in the Lab!
"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew." - Abraham Lincoln
