Another Blue shirt goes out!

April_26th_2008_001Congratulations Leslie Werschkul on completing her Basic Qualifications and earning the Blue shirt!  The final benchmarks: 30s. Hang, Dips, Push-ups and. . .Wall Ball Shots!  Then completing Christine in under 14:00 AFTER killing Nancy at the 8:30AM WoD!  Definitely a tough morning.  Nice work Leslie!

Two More Basics!

April_19th_2008_015    On Thursday our Wednesday/Friday 12:00PM coach Marcus Donaldson came out to the track and ran his mile - the last requirement necessary for his advancement to the Basic Level.  Not only did we run his mile in under 9:00 to complete his benchmark, he also ran his 400m, 800m, and mile fast enough to be checked off through Elite!  Congratulations Marcus!
    Ricardo Linnell, who has been a part of the family for only a few months, completed his Basic qualifications today!  He began his Basic Level quest last Saturday and finished the last couple of check-offs today with a great Christine time.  Congratulations Ricardo!

Track Day - Rain or Shine!

    The CrossFit H.E.L. track season begins this week on Thursday!  One day a week until the end of summer, we will all meet at the track for the WoD.  Until the school season is out and we move over to the Jefferson High School track, the workouts will be held at Fernhill Park track.  The Fernhill Park track is located on 42nd, between Killingsworth and Ainsworth.  See the map below.

The track is on 42nd, across from NE Simpson.  See you all there!

No Testing Today

    No testing this Saturday.  If you are ready to begin/finish testing for your Basic or Advanced, please see/email me during the week to set it up.  There will be no ABC until late April/early May, so take advantage of the open Saturday's and EARN YOUR SHIRT!

More Pictures From Thailand.

I will keep posting 'em as long as Daniel keeps sending 'em!  These are some shots of a wokrout Daniel led.  First the stairs.  Then 21 - 15 - 9 reps of: Pull-ups, Squats, Push-ups.  Finish with a run through the jungle and return on the only road in Koh Phi Phi.  Add 92 degree heat and 85% humidity and go for time!

A Brand New Squad

March_31st_2008_019This past Monday, 11 new member candidates began what is currently the largest Boot Camp Class to date.  The group is highly motivated and nearly every one has been to a guest workout.  Wish them all Good Luck for the next 4 weeks!  ***At the time of this posting, one of our member candidate teammates has requested a DOR.  The Team is down to 10.  Everyone stay motivated and get through the program TOGETHER!***
